Her parents were from Yugoslavia and her family attended the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church in Steubenville, Ohio. She speaks about childhood memories, the Serbian and wider Weirton community, and Serbian foodways, mainly nutrolls, that she enjoys baking.
